FMP RESEARCH
1. Make a plan
Week by week
All the things you will do
2. Action the research plan
Reflect as you go.
There are many different ways of presenting your research plan... (which you can research...)
eg detailed Gantt chart, bullet-point list, mind-map...
You must present your plan to your supervisor.
Only do research that’s useful.
Research is to support development of your product: not to do because we've told you to - every Hollywood film is many months of pre-production.
Things to research:
-
Books,
-
websites,
-
articles,
-
theory
-
existing products,
-
how-to do things (practical research),
-
finding locations,
-
which props, costumes,
-
colour schemes,
-
composition,
-
sourcing actors, equipment [etc etc]
Decide - what is it I need to know
What is out there? Evaluate sources.
Watch / read / do the research
Test (if applicable)
Review and talk about how your project will be amended/improved.
