FMP RESEARCH

There are many different ways of presenting your research plan... (which you can research...)

eg detailed Gantt chart, bullet-point list, mind-map...

You must present your plan to your supervisor.

Only do research that’s useful.

Research is to support development of your product: not to do because we've told you to - every Hollywood film is many months of pre-production.

Things to research:

  • Books,

  • websites,

  • articles,

  • theory

  • existing products,

  • how-to do things (practical research),

  • finding locations,

  • which props, costumes,

  • colour schemes,

  • composition,

  • sourcing actors, equipment [etc etc]

Decide - what is it I need to know

What is out there? Evaluate sources.

Watch / read / do the research

Test (if applicable)

Review and talk about how your project will be amended/improved.
